These two major figures influenced the lifestyle of billions of people from all over the world. Throughout the book Hanh shows a deeper connection between Christianity and Buddhism by renewing the reader's understanding of the main importances of the two religions. Hanh also highlights the importance of being open minded about other religions and emphasizes that people need to be open to the commonalities and or similarities seen
Religions have greatly shaped their followers' lives by their origin stories, societal teachings, and tone in their writings. Islam, Hinduism, and Buddhism are different in their attitudes and creation stories, but similar in their social impacts. %Origin In the Islam, Hindu, and Buddhism beliefs and teachings, they differ in the number of gods worshiped and origin of life. In the Five Pillars of Faith, the Shahadat duty requires that "A Muslim must acknowledge that 'There is no God but Allah...'".
Hinduism and Buddhism are different because of their beliefs, government, and social structure and more. Both of these religions started in ancient india, although they began at different points in time. Hinduism’s world view is different from Buddhism’s because in Hinduism, people had to believe in Brahma, Shiva, and Vishnu, along with other gods and goddesses like when it says in the reading, “unite your soul with Brahman.” In Buddhism however, people were free to believe in as many gods or goddesses as the pleased as long as they believed in The Buddha. Secondly, Hinduism and Buddhism are different because of their government.

Some people say that buddhism and Hinduism are fairly similar. Well, in some ways those people would be correct. But there are some things that differ between the two religions. How about we compare Buddhist weddings to Hindu weddings: The Hindu wedding is thought to be the bringing together of two people who are “compatible”. Hindu wedding ceremonies are traditionally coordinated at least partially in Sanskrit, the most holy language of Hindu ceremonies.
Both religions descend from Abraham, the Jews from his son Isaac and the Muslims from his son Ishmael. In this way, we are from the same lineage. Besides being genetically connected, both religions emphasize the importance of charity and putting other people first. Islam strives to serve mankind through compassion, justice, trustworthiness, and love for all of God's creation while Judaism strives to do mitzvot, good deeds, help repair the world, and exhibit a strong social justice ethic.
Based on the number of followers alone, it is safe to assume that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are the biggest religions in the world. Even though each sect differentiates from one another, these three religions share myriad of common similarities. Perhaps the most obvious similarity among these three is that they are all monotheistic, or that they believe in one true God. The Hebrew bible of Judaism, the Holy bible of Christianity and the Qur’an of Islam all point to the same God. According to these texts, the one true God is the source of all creation and through God’s mercy we can come to be more like Him even when we drift away from His intentions.
For as long as history has been documented, religion has been a recurring theme amongst civilizations. Usually used as a way to explain the natural word, it comes in many different variations. Christianity and Islam are two of the world’s largest religions, different in many ways but also bearing some similarities. Both religions are monotheistic (believing in one god), but worship different gods with different circumstances and times. Each respective faith has its own views and ways of life, including art, literature and the afterlife.
Buddhism and Christianity are both very important and large religions that have been practiced since early civilizations. Both Buddhism and Christianity have different beliefs and founders. In Christianity they believe that God created the Universe but in Buddhism the universe has always existed. In Buddhism women are equal to men, while in Christianity Men have Authority over men. Buddhists have a strict belief in that the universe has always existed.
Throughout time religion has played a huge role in a lot of people’s lives. Everyone has a religion, whether it be Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, or maybe even agnosticism (a belief where humans choose to not have a say in whether or not god exists). Every religion is different, but who’s to say what is right and what is wrong? Being raised in a Catholic family, I’ve been taught to believe in a set of rules that the religion practices and I’ve never ventured out to look at other religions beliefs and practices. Buddhism, Islam, and Christianity are three of many religions practiced all over the world, but with each come different beliefs along with similarities all of which are worth knowing about.
Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam are three of the most well-known and common global religions. According to our lecture, all global religions are distinctly different from other religions because of the following aspects they all have in common: universal acceptance, personalistic theology, and evangelistic spread. It is these three things that are defining and contributing factors to the success and reach of global religions. Although these terms are very broad, they do apply to each of the previously mentioned religions. Universal acceptance, for example, refers to the accepting nature of Buddhism, Christianity, and Islam.

Islam and Christianity Over the course of time there have been many subjects and topics that divides the masses, sometimes to a point that they have caused war. Among those many segregating topics, is one that is rather shocking, considering the fact that it’s general goal is to create peace and understanding: religion. The similarities (and even the dissimilarities) in the origins, various symbols and structures, and the pillars important to each religion will be discussed. Examination of these topics will bring better understanding to both Islam and Christianity; not to prove that one is better than the other, but to lead to the
Christianity and Islam share many similarities with a few fundamental differences. Both religions follow monotheism, though in Islam it is much stricter. Jesus and Gabriel are focal points for Christianity and Islam respectively. God and Allah stand for the same higher power and basis for religion. In Islam, the five pillars are the main difference just as Mary is the mother of Jesus and the beginning of the Christian religions teachings.
Play is an essential element for early childhood development as it plays an important role in developing children’s language, physical, cognitive, emotional and social skills. One of the important types of play that children usually experience is the socio-dramatic play, classified as a type of construction and symbolic play by Piaget (Wood, 2013). Most children are able to engage in socio-dramatic play spontaneously (Kemple, 2008). Children at the age of 3 to 7 are able to participate in the socio-dramatic play (Gronna, Serna, Kennedy, & Prater, 1999). It involves partnership between two or more children in which the play is developed through their interaction in playing their role (Wood, 2013).
