In the book It's Not Summer Without You by Jenny Han, Isabella Conklin is a young girl trying to find who she is and what she wants. She struggles with figuring out her feelings, understanding them, and finding her new life after her best friend passes. She's been struggling with these problems her whole life. She's always been in love with Conrad, but Conrad has always played with Isabella's feelings and been careless. He'd tell Isabella that he loves her, but then goes off without girls.
