Criminals, from Billy the Kid to Al Capone, they will always be in the history books. People know about criminals and what they did. But there’s one that’s in the history books and almost everyone ignores him. In Victorian London era, there is a criminal known as “Jack the Ripper”. The murderer, known as “Jack the Ripper”, terrorized the streets of London in 1888. The identity of this killer is unknown. The location of most of the murders were in a region of London called, Whitechapel. “The Ripper's” murders were in the form of mutilation. According to the encyclopedia, all of his victims were prostitutes. The victims were Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Elizabeth Stride, Catherine Eddowes, and Mary Jane Kelly. All of these women were in prostitution. These women were brutally murdered. Their throats were severed with two cuts. Their abdomens were ripped open or slashed open. Some of these bodies had organs missing. Jack the Ripper also wrote letters to some people. The letters were information saying that “Jack” can’t wait for his next victim. The “Dear Boss”, Saucy Jacky”, and “Openshaw” letters were signed with, “Jack the Ripper.” The “From Hell” letter, it was signed with, “Catch me when you Can Mishter Lusk.” Along with the letter, was half a kidney.
