What would happen to you if you woke up and only remembered your name? In the Maze Runner, that question becomes reality. The Maze Runner is a dystopian novel following a BIG event called “The Flare”. Following this event, a group of teenage boys are sent to a place called the “Glade” with no memories of their previous lives and around them is a maze which they are trying to escape. There are many similarities and differences between the novel “The Maze Runner” by James Dashner and the movie adaptation, including the Grief Serum, the Map Room, and the Code. It also adds to the tension and suspense as the reader wonders what will happen next. The walls in the Maze move every night. In order to find a way out, the Gladers have designated the role of the Runner to run the Maze every day to track the changes and note any differences.
