Will Thomas and the others escape the maze?. This quarter, I have been reading The Maze Runner and I’m at 292 pages. In the novel, a boy wakes up in a crate or so-called elevator and all he can remember is his name is Thomas. Eventually, the elevator opens and he suddenly hears a bunch of voices coming above him. It opens and the next thing you know, Thomas sees approximately 45 teenage boys standing above him staring at him. All of the boys help Thomas out of the elevator and make him feel less scared by welcoming him to the “Glade”. While reading James Dashner’s The Maze Runner I have been predicting, visualizing, and connecting.

Also, another time where I have been visualizing the story in a very detailed description such as when the narrator describes the layout of the Glade. There’s a building towards the north, some trees to the south, animals in the south, crops in the northern area of the glade. Still, Thomas is extremely confused and frustrated that no one is answering his questions so he’s trying to figure out the glade by shadows. When Thomas saw the doors open and saw four “runners” running like their life depends on it, He was so curious about trying to figure out questions that no one knows and wants to try and help by becoming a runner. Alby the leader of the group, is giving Thomas a tour and tries to explain everything to him. Suddenly a siren interrupts the tour and everyone heads over to the crate. When the crate opens everyone is in shock because they just received their first girl and she had a note in her pocket saying she is the last one. The girl goes later goes into a coma and Thomas is trying his best to become a runner. Alby and Minho go off to examine a dead griever. Everyone is worried
