Jeffrey Dahmer has gone down in history as one of the most infamous serial murderers of our time. Even from childhood, Dahmer had always stayed away from the busyness of the crowd. As a young child, Dahmer had trouble making friends; he was fascinated with the flesh of living things, he even had an interest in taxidermy. During high school, he alienated himself from the rest of his peers and was incredibly shy around female students. This growing obsession with death led Dahmer to the path of destruction. However, in this period of time, Dahmer enlisted into the army in December of 1978. Dahmer’s alcoholism had taken center stage, persisting until he was later discharged. He returned to his home in Ohio but sent to live in Wisconsin with his Grandmother by his Father. The following summer, Dahmer had been arrested for indecent exposure, and once again arrested when two young boys accused him of masturbating in front of them in 1986. He was given a probationary sentence lasting only one year. Dahmer had brought home Steven Toumi. The two heavily began to drink while at Jeffrey’s apartment, where Dahmer and Toumi blacked out. The next morning, Dahmer had awoken to the sight of a dead Steven Toumi. Dahmer then proceeded to put Toumi’s remains inside a large suitcase. He transported the body to his Grandmother’s basement, then proceeded to engage in necrophilia, masturbating over Toumi’s dismembered remains. Dahmer later disposed of the body. In 1988, Dahmer had attempted to drug and kill a 13 year old boy. He had brought the boy to his apartment, attempting to drug him with sleeping pills. Luckily, for the time being, the boy had escaped, and told the police of Dahmer’s assault. Dahmer was arrested and given a probation sentence of 5 years, however, he continued to kill during this period of time.
