I am sure you have heard that my father, Jerry Geyer has passed away from pancreatic cancer. During the two months that I lived with my parents to help take care of him, we were blessed to be able to have many wonderful conversations. He had told me of a lot of things that he had wanted to do, but simply ran out of time. One of the things he wanted to do was for me to record a message for you and write it down. He told me the stories about two weeks prior to his death. In the early hours of October 16th, when he started to decline quickly, he said that we had never gotten around to writing you the letter. I promised him I would let you know how he felt about you. He wanted you to know that you were such an inspiration to him growing up. He told me about how good you were to him when he was a sophomore; that you took him under your wing. He said that he truly wanted to “be like Frank”. He said that most generally upper classmen would treat the underclassmen poorly, but that you were not that way and that you always stuck up for the underdog. …show more content…

I believe he said that this was in class, but I could be wrong. He said that you looked at Dad and said, “Did you see that? I’m going to ask him why he did it and if he doesn’t have a good answer I’m gonna punch him!” The bully’s response was something like, “Just because” and Daddy said you laid him
