The Crucible, a 1953 play written by Arthur Miller, an American playwright. It is the story of the Salem witch trials that took place in the Province of Massachusetts Bay during 1692 and 1693. It is more dramatized and fictionalized than the original story of the Salem witch trials. There were rumors of a girl that was bewitched her name is Betty Parris. She was always in her bedroom and was sick so her father was wondering what the problem was.
Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton were both comedic geniuses that rose to fame at an early age. Both known for their outstanding slapstick comedy films, it is still debated which of the two is the greater comedic genius of his time. While the two shared many similarities, their movie styles differed from one another quite a bit. Their acting, storylines, and on-screen personalities has their own vey distinct styles.
Standing Up to the Crowd in The Help and To Kill a Mockingbird “If you want to be a real human being - a real woman, a real man - you cannot tolerate things which put you to indignation, to outrage. You must stand up. I always say to people, 'Look around; look at what makes you unhappy, what makes you furious, and then engage yourself in some action”(Stephane Hessel). The novel, To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, is from the perspective of a little girl named Scout and it is about her father, Atticus Finch trying to helplessly defend an innocent black man from the racist justice system that was present during the 1930s.
According to Kennedy and Gioia, comedy is rooted “from the Greek komos, a reveal, thought to be originated in festivities to celebrate spring, ritual performances in praise of Dionysus” (882). The term comedy can refer to an entire work or simply only parts. Comedy, which can range from romantic (the guy gets the girl and they live happily ever after) to satiric, which is when “human weakness or folly is ridiculed from a vantage point of supposedly enlightened superiority” (Kennedy and Gioia 882). There are many other forms that can be found everywhere. High comedy “relies more on wit and wordplay than physical action for its humor”, while Low comedy tends to “explore the opposite extreme of humor”
The denotation of a word is its prescribed,dictionary-type definition. Denotation is a translation of a sign to its meaning, precisely to its literal meaning, more or less like dictionaries try to define it. Denotation is sometimes contrasted to connotation, which translates a sign to meanings associated with it. Connotation refers to a whole layer of associations,ideas,or attitudes that are often attached to a word. Denotation and Connotation have the same function they are refers to the sentence which has literal or intended meaning.

A formal suit is cumberbun, and a bow tie. There is also a day coat which is where you wear black, brown, or navy blue jodhpurs, and a colorful suit jacket. Should a person 's guilt or innocence be determined by a jury of his or her peers? Some people believe both sides of the argument. A jury is selected to listen to evidence supporting and opposing the defendant. Then, the jury must further examine the information given to them and render a verdict. In twelve angry men the jury could have made an incorrect judgement and sentenced the defendant as not guilty when he actually was guilty.
