Heroism Who is your hero? It may be your dad or, perhaps another family member, one that you have known your whole life as a hero. Maybe it is a fictional character. A person that you don't know or have never seen, but still you think of them as a hero.
The obstacles that Douglass and Malala had to overcome are what inspired me. They inspired me because despite all the dangers, they continued to fight for their own education and others education and eventually became voices of many others. I can relate a little bit to each of their story because also pushed through some struggles, when it came to applying to college. Those struggles are the reason why I became inspired to help undocumented students like myself.
I have great admiration for Lee Strobel and his quest for answers. Everyone has at least one moment, or for some of us decades, where we question the absoluteness of the Holy Bible. Mr. Strobel had a sincere desire to find the truth, regardless of where it took him. He dove into the depths of faith, the Bible, Jesus and history to discover the scientific truths behind God 's holy word.
The person I consider to be an influential hero is Moira Smith. I refer to Moira Smith as a hero because she saved many strangers’ lives. Her life was dedicated to saving citizens from disasters that had occurred. Moira had even saved victims in exchange for her own life. Most people cannot do such a selfless thing as to risk their life to save others’.
My biggest influence isn 't a relative or a celebrity, as it might be for most people. Mike Anderson, an author, photographer, and church leader, has had a major influence on me in several ways. He has shown me that my circumstances cannot dictate my happiness, that if I really want something in life I have to pursue it, and that faith is something that everyone has, regardless of their religious views. Like myself, he has had to face and overcome a wide variety of obstacles and trials and has become a stronger, wiser, and overall better citizen and human being because of it, and he has given me the strength and encouragement to never give up even when it seems like the odds and universe are against me.
My Michigan Hero,Nancy Chapman Who is your hero? My hero is my Mom. She has always taught me to work hard at all that you do and never quit. She works two jobs and still has time for me and my brother she runs junior golf tournaments and sells jewellery.
While we may often look up to celebrities such as Kylie Jenner and Kin Kardashian, real heroes exhibit more selfless qualities that reach beyond that of a self-fulfilling celebrity. In many ways, real heroes stand strong with their beliefs possess confidence and patience. Furthermore, real heroes are persistent, devoted and most of all real heroes are revolutionary and break boundaries. As a matter of fact, Jackie Robinson is one of my personal heroes because he set in motion the change of boundaries for major league sports. Further, he is a hero who was born to start a revolution in the major league sports industry.
One individual that truly has influenced me is my former Pastor, but still spiritual partner... Prophetess Jackie Banks. Her early life was essentially an atrocity tainted by drug abuse, promiscuous sexual activities, larceny, and tons of interactions with our nation's criminal justice system. She took on a career of being a criminal, and endured it for over twenty years. Eventually while “roaming the streets” she encountered an evangelist, and from that moment shifted her ambitions from felonious to divine.
But someone who just does it out of their own kindness. My Michigan hero is my sister Nicole because she helps others, she cares a lot about her family, and she works hard. My sister helps others out a lot. She always helps me when i’m sad or scared.
Martin Luther King Jr, Barack Obama, both amazing leaders, but whom do you think inspired them? The answer to that question is Harriet Tubam. The greatest leader of all time. Harriet Tubman has done many inspirational things throughout her lifetime. Like being a nurse, or a spy during the Civil War, but her greatest achievement has to be her time on the Underground Railroad.
There are many people that I admire ranging from people I personally know to Hollywood celebrities. One person who stands out in my mind is Demi Lovato. With every project that she works on, my admiration grows stronger. I have looked up to her since I was younger. She has been one of my role models growing up and she still inspires me to this day.
For my hero I picked Walter Elias Disney. Walt lived on a small farm in Illinois when he was a child. As a young boy Walt had a fascination with drawing and he once drew on the side of the barn with tar and his father beat him for it. He loved to draw the farm animals and a specific field mouse which would later inspire him to create the mouse we all love… Mickey Mouse. Later on Walt went to school to take photography and drawing classes at McKinley High School in Chicago.
His role as an oncologist has profoundly influenced the manner in which I plan to practice medicine in the future: with respect, compassion, and empathy for my patients. It was my observation of his interactions with cancer surviving patients that first inspired me to pursue medicine. These interactions inspired me not only to embark on a profession where I could serve others, but also make a difference in the lives of others. I believe I can make the biggest impact in the lives of my future patients by combining my passion for the clinic and science as a physician-scientist. Though I am early in my medical journey, and am willing to keep an open mind, it is only natural that I yearn to pursue a profession related to oncology.
Through the course of his treatments and convalescence I have learned that listening and the understanding of the condition, greater outweighs the physical act of recovery. This has provided me with the skills to become a more confident, care-provider and teacher to make any child succeed. Currently I am undergoing training to become a Friendship Volunteer for Independent Age. Again, this I hope underlines qualities that I have. I also possess excellent communication skills, I am a good listener and I can understand and share the feelings of others.
I have always admired my dad and could say he is my biggest super hero. My father is the best example in my life, and he has proven to me that anything is possible when you want to accomplish great success, with hard work and determination. I really look up to my dad because with his intelligence and
