John R. Cash, or as we know him, Johnny Cash, was a very interesting person in Arkansas history. In fact, if you’re going to live in Arkansas, you may want to know at least something about him. Maybe his most popular songs, or maybe you would even like to know about his personal life.
Johnny Cash wrote lots of great songs, but since there are too many to name, here are his most popular songs. ‘ A Boy Named Sue’ is the first song that I found. The other songs are ‘ Man in Black’, One Piece at a Time’,’ Ballad of a teenage Dream’’Sunday Morning Coming Down’ ‘Jackson’’Hurt’’Ring of Fire,’ Folsom Prison Blues’,and I Walk the Line’, To be honest, the only ones that I had heard of until now are ‘Ring of Fire’ and ‘I Walk the Line’. Cash wrote gospel music as well as country music. Cash met his first wife at a rollerskating rink in San Antonio. Johnny cash had his own famous quote. It was “ I wouldn’t let anybody influence me into thinking I was doing the wrong thing by singing about death, hell, and drugs. Because I’ve always done that, and I always will. His trademark was his tough “ Outlaw” image and his defiant attitude. Cash also had a nickname. It was “The Man In Black”. He also took one voice lesson.Johnny also had some hardships in life aside from being famous. He started smoking at the age of twelve. The Mason’s rejected Johnny’s applications for membership on Moral Grounds. Another interesting fact was he also learned how to hypnotize himself. Cash’s signature black suits was a good luck charm after wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt to his first public performance. He had his first gig playing for elderly ladies in a church basement with the Tennessee Two. When Cash was little he would work in cotton fields and eat young cotton buds even though his mother warned him that it would give him stomach pains. Even though Cash served seven days in jail, he
