He set countless records at Texas A&M and led them to a 20-6 record for the two years that he played.Manziel became the most popular player in college football and everyone knew his name. The rise of Johnny Manziel is one of the quickest and biggest rises in college football history. Manziel set countless records and crazy highlights. But it wasn’t like that in the NFL. Johnny Maziel was signing autographs for money with people, which was prohibited against the NCAA. Players in college were not able to make money from their names and likeness. But Johnny Manziel saw how popular he became at Texas A&M and saw his jerseys fly off racks and sell out. He thought he should be able to make money from his name and fame. So he started signing autographs for fans and racked up almost $100,000 in cash signing autographs. He lied about how he got the money, saying he came from a wealthy family and it worked. Once he started getting a bunch of money he started to party everyday and play games hungover. But it worked in college so he kept on doing it. Once he got to the NFL and was selected by the Cleveland Browns, his life and skills changed. He watched no film and spent no time training.
