Emmitt Smith is a star running back that is retried but he played for the Dallas Cowboys for fifteen seasons seasons he also played for the Arizona Cardinals for three seasons then got a one day one dollar contract with the Dallas cowboys and retired the next day. Emmitt Smith accomplished many things throughout his lifetime. Emmett's childhood was far from good he has been through a lot throughout his childhood from guns being shot in his neighborhood to people asking him to give them drugs. Emmitt as a child often got in trouble because of football his family wasn’t the richest around so they didn't have enough money for a washing machine or even buy them clothes sometimes but they made everything work. Emmitt lived in the project of his neighbor hood where he heard gunshots every night and drug deals and fights all around him. Also he lived with two parents and four siblings that's why they didn't have enough money to support each other.Emmett's mother got extremely mad at emmett because he got muddy and dirty every time he played football and they didn't have enough money to get new clothes or even wash them. (Savage 17). Emmitt was coming out of high school with many prospects because he was such an amazing football player in highschool breaking records. He has the option to sign with florida or florida state. He ended up signing with florida because he liked florida and that's where he lived and his family didn't want to move. Emmett loved football very much even if it meant him getting dirty and getting into trouble so he did he followed his dream in becoming a NFL running back.Emmitt loved football from a young age because his older brothers took him to go play with friends and that's where he came to love football. Emmett told his grandmother that he would do it for he to get her more attention so she could live longer and that's what he did he moved right behind her and got her the help she needed (Lowry 19). Once emmitt was in the NFL he wanted the ball very bad like in the super bowl when they were trailing going into halftime and he scrwmaed at his coach telling him to get him the ball and he got it and rushed for over three hundred yards and got the super bowl trophy and the ring and also the MVP of the super bowl.
