Joshua, whose name means "God delivered", was Moses' servant and was his replacement when he died. He was Moses’ general, who led the troops in fighting while Aaron held up Moses' hands. Joshua was the one who led the Israelites into the promised land. He was a spiritual leader, a military leader, and a political leader. He would do whatever it took. He was audacious, intrepid, and when he spoke for the lord, he was fearless. When God ordered Joshua, Joshua didn't try to persuade God or support the people, he obeyed without hesitation. He granted the people the choice of if they would serve the true God or a false god. The Israelites didn't choose a fake god, but rather the true God. Moses’ story was bizarre because of how he was raised in Pharaoh's palace, with teaching, talents, and wealth, but yet he felt unfit to speak and claimed wasn’t a good speaker when God called upon him to talk to Pharaoh. After Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, they wandered into the wilderness. They started to lament to Moses and disobey God. Moses went to God every time for the people, declaring their claim and supporting them. Even God was sick of the Israelites disobedience and wanted them dead, but Moses persuaded Him.
