Julius Caesar Essay In Shakespeare’s play, Julius Caesar, a group of conspirators led by Brutus and Cassius thought Caesar was a bad leader for Rome, ultimately leading them to assassinate him. Brutus and Cassius discussed killing Mark Antony, but Brutus said no, and that led to Antony being a big threat to them. First of all, Antony showed his loyalty to Caesar. He said he was going to join the conspirators, but he did not join them. Antony shook all of the conspirators' bloody hands to show respect after they killed Caesar. At the end of Act III Scene 1 Antony started a war against Brutus and Cassius because they assassinated Caesar.
