Juvenile Delinquency Case Study On September 12, 2012, Jack stole three packs of gum, a candy bar, and pushed the store owner, Moe, to the ground. Diane is Jack’s best friend and was with him. Moe say Diane put stuff into her purse. The police apprehend Diane and Jack who are both 13 years old. They only find items in Diane’s purse and she promptly confesses to everything. Jack denies everything to the police after they were held and questioned for two hours before being released. They are petitioned to appear in juvenile court within the correct time period as required by the state (Final Project Guidelines, n.d.).
