Karl Marx was born on May 5, 1818 in Trier Prussia (Germany) and died of cancer on 14 March 1883 in London. Karl Marx is well known for being a key person in the founding of sociology, The Communist Manifesto and the Socio-political theory of Marxism.
While Marx went to a Lutheran elementary school but later grow into an atheist and a materialist. In 1835, Karl enrolled in Bonn University in Germany where he excelled in law; however, he was distracted in with his love for philosophy and literature.
A year later, he enrolled at the University of Berlin. Marx quickly considered it home when he connected with a crowd of gifted and radical thinkers who were confronting current institutions on philosophy, including religion, ideas, ethics, and politics. In 1842 Marx was hired the editor of a Cologne newspaper called the Rheinische Zeitung, the thing was Berlin government prohibited them from publishing the next year. He then moved to Brussels where he created the German Worker’s Party and was involved in the Communist League. This is where Karl wrote his famed work the Communist Manifesto. This got him exiled from Belgium and also France, Marx finally put down roots in London where he lived as an exile. This is where he stayed until his death. Once In London, Marx dabbled in journalism and wrote for German and English language periodicals. From 1852 to 1862 Marx was also a reporter for the New York Daily Tribune, writing over 350
