Our mission is to assist persons with single or co-occurring disorders in addiction, mental health, and/or HIV / AIDS to achieve and sustain recovery; improving their health, wellness, and capacity to live a self directed life, and reach their full potential. We accomplish this, while protecting the public through the provision of quality, culturally competent, and financially responsible services (KSCS, 1970). Kent Sussex Community Services is known to be one of the major public outpatient addiction, mental health, treatment & HIV counseling, testing and case management facility in lower Delaware. KSCS provides client centered services proposed to deal with a wide array of needs. One of the services included is a HIV/AIDS program which provides case management services through the Diamond State Health Plan-Plus and Ryan White Care Act to those living in Kent and Sussex Counties. The HIV/AIDS program provides the following services such as transportation, case management, and outreach prevention. We also provide transportation to clients that do not have Medicaid which is funded by Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health (DSAMH). Finally, the sixth program is Outpatient, Intensive Outpatient, and Medical Assisted drug and Alcohol & Co-occurring program that view our organization as a community of recovery that offers individual treatment designed with respect to the needs, values, and diversity of each person seeking help. Services including detoxification are provided on an outpatient basis where persons can remain in their homes without interruption to their jobs. We offer individual and group counseling as well as medication assisted treatment that is evidence based and proven by extensive research to be effective
