On the day of September 16, 1925 in a small town called Berclair, Mississippi between Bena and Indiananola Mississippi on a cotton plantation to Nora Ella and Albert King gave birth to a baby boy named Riley B. King. Three years later the King family added a new member to the family Curce King Riley’s brother. Curce has lived for two years and later died from eating grass. After the death of the Curce, Riley’s life went down hill. His parents are separated and leaves with his mother east of the Mississippi Delta. For the next 12 years in the Delta he lives with his mother, her new husband, Elger Baskin,his grandmother (Elnora Farr), aunts, and uncles for the Pullin clan. King and his family attended the Church of God and Christ, his Pastor was Archie Fair. The music in the church was very well driven during Sunday worship service. In fact, it was well driven that the pastor plays the guitar during the service. After church the pastor’s wife and King’s Uncle William’s wife met up ,and started talking while King was standing around. The pastor called him over and allowed King to play his guitar, and they say is was love at first touch. King attended school in Elkhorn School by Elkhorn Church. King’s teacher, Mr.Luther Henson. Mr. Henson not only taught King the this he need to know, like read, but to be self reliant, devoted to be self- improvement, and fair-minded. Henson influenced King to a successful long-life. King’s school life was bound to be the begining of his life. Everyday after school King had to go work in the fields.(1,2) On January 10, 1940 King lost the woman that raise him, his grandmother she died of a brief illness. King partners with Memphis and Bill Harvey and become The Bill Harvey band, and go on tour with King. In 1952 B.B and Martha get a divorce. King get his second #1 hit also in 1952 “You Know I Love You”. Ten more single in 1955 that reach the top 20 on billboards. In 1956 King plays 340 one-night-stands, and work everyday of the year. The road had him locked down. 1958 King remarries to Sue Hall back from his home town. Sue takes up life on the road with her famous husband and they buy a home in Los Angeles that he rarely live in. King was known for giving everythig a nickname like his tour bus was known as Big Red and many more names. On one day Big Red is in a horriable wreck with a truck on a bridge in Texas. By the 1980’s King was known as a blues legend. Also earned is first grammy for best traditional blues recordings for blues, and jazz.(1,2) In 1990 King won another grammy, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He also recives a Presential medal of freedom from formal President George Bush. King divorced with his wife Sue. King went on with life and preformed a cincert at the HardRock Cafe in Beijing, China. He is still is his baby Lucille they have been together for fifteen years.(2) In December 1995 King recived the 18th annual Kennedy Center Honors, was given by Formar President
