As you go through life, friendships are common, but a strong friendship can be hard to find. A good friend is someone who helps you through hard times and supports you, no matter what. Kitbull, a short story directed by Rosana Sullivan, explores topics such as friendship and animal abuse. In the story, the cat initially is untrusting and scared, then when he sees the vulnerable dog, he decides to help and they become friends. Ultimately, the friendship allows both of them to live happily together. When someone is used to being alone, they can feel scared and untrusting. He runs into a junkyard and hides in a box. This shows how people can be wary of things that they are not familiar with and often tend to stick to themselves instead of finding happiness through others. After a short period, we get introduced to a pitbull. The pitbull is curious about the cat and attempts to play with it. Then the owner of the dog comes and chains it to the cage. Later, the cat is playing by itself and when the toy rolls to the dog, he tries to play again. The cat gets scared and hides again. Later in the film, the owner of the dog brings it inside and beats it to the point where it is limping and visibly injured. After waiting for the owner to let him back inside, to no avail, the dog goes up to help the cat, who gets stuck in a can ring. The cat, still terrified of it, scratches the dog. The pitbull, tired of getting hurt, enters his cage and rests. In the morning, the cat sees the pitbull vulnerable and hurt in the cage, takes a risk by going in and tries to play with it.
