March 13, 1964 was the day of the killing of kitty genovese. After this story, people knew how cruel the world can be. A woman named Kitty Genovese was walking home around 3 a.m. She was being followed by a suspicious man. As she was walking, she got stabbed. Kitty was screaming for help. People in the building heard but didn't do nothing. One guy opened his windows and said “let that girl alone.” Then closed them. In like 2 minutes the murder came back and stabbed her again. Once again Kitty was screaming for help. Windows opened again, and the murder got in a car and drove away. All the windows closed and the people remain to not do anything. Kitty tried to crawl away and the murder came back and stabbed her again and this time Kitty Genovese had died. After about an hour, Someone finally called the police and they arrived in 2 minutes. The police said we could have saved her and arrested the murder if someone called as soon as it happened. …show more content…

I feel like it's the neighbors falt that she died. If the neighbors called the cops at the time of the first stab she could have been fine. This is why I agree with the Good Samaritan Law. The Good Samaritan laws generally provide basic legal protection for those who assist a person who is injured or in danger. If you see someone in danger or hurt, we should help because we would want someone to do the same for us. I believe the good samaritan law can make the world a better place because we can save more lives and catch more murderers. I believe people should take action than living with
