White supremacy kills over 50 people a year. The Ku Klux Klan and other white supremacy groups such as the White Aryan Resistance and the White citizen parties use white supremacy.

The most known group of the use of white supremacy is the Ku Klux Klan also known as the KKK. The Ku Klux Klan has a very deep history in the southern United States. A guy named Bedford Forest in Tennessee established the KKK in 1866 (Gale). They developed the name of the first two words by using a Greek word. The Greek word Kuklos meaning group or band and the third word a variation of the word clan. Some of the states that had the KKK in them were Alabama, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Even though they were mostly in the U.S. there was a branch of the KKK in Africa too. The branch of the KKK in Africa was in the country of South Africa. Even though South Africa there is a surprisingly number of whites there. All in all, the KKK is the most known and notable white supremacist group and they sometimes use mass shootings to get their point across to the African Americans.

One of the most common uses of white supremacy is saw in mass shootings. Some of the most main white supremacy shootings are the Dylann Roof shootings and the shooting of 17 black churchgoers (Lewis). The Dylann Roof shooting was a church shooting that killed nine African Americans. The Roof shooting took place in Charleston on June 17, 2015. Roof was then captured in Shelby, North Carolina, about 245 miles away from the original shooting (Gale).

Another mass shooting was when 17 black churchgoers were gunned down by a white supremacist (Baughman). The white supremacist was a guy named Denmark Vesey. All in all, mass shootings are the most common use of people using their white supremacy to get their point across
