What makes someone a good leader is it being able to bring people together or something else. A Leader In Macbeth, by William Shakespeare, is Lady Macbeth who is married to Macbeth, a Thane of Scotland. He is told that he will become king in a prophecy from three witches. Leadership is the act of leading a group of people as a group. Many traits can make someone a good leader. Lady Macbeth shows leadership qualities in the play. Another person who shows the qualities of a leader is Oprah Winfrey. Oprah is a television personality, Oprah shows the qualities of a leader by taking initiative and making good decisions. This makes her a leader because she is not only controlling the decisions that Macbeth makes, but shows initiative in advancing their place in the world. Initiative is a quality of leadership because it allows them to make decisions without being prompted to make a decision. Moreover, later in the play, after Macbeth and Lady Macbeth have murdered the king. Macbeth is unsure whether they should have and is doubting if they will get away with it because he is covered in blood, she says, “A little water clears us of this deed, how easy is it then.”(Shakespeare 2.2 70-71). Lady Macbeth tells Macbeth that the plan she came up with was flawless; this shows that she is confident in her abilities. She tries to assure Macbeth that her plan is the right decision. This shows she is a good leader because she tries to reassure someone who is not sure of what he has done. Lady Macbeth doing this demonstrates empathy.
