Macbeth’s Most Evil Character The murder of Duncan was a crime which cried out for justice. Lady Macbeth was to blame for this evil felony. In the well known play, Macbeth, written by WIlliam Shakespeare, Lady Macbeth, the wife of main character, Macbeth, showed many acts of violence through verbal and physical actions. The murder of King Duncan was represented with no honestly; Lady Macbeth was to be accused for this homicide because she made up the plan to kill the King, was an accessory for his murder and laid the bloody daggers on the guards, smearing the two men with the victim’s blood.
The idea that people’s choices and actions make them and affect them greatly is pretty basic. What they do in life is what they will become and will influence their conscious. In the play Macbeth, William Shakespeare conveys the idea that when an individual makes a decision that is harmful to his/her well being and conscious then guilt and regret can weigh down on him/her which can lead to physical illness, insanity and being haunted by the past. Lady Macbeth’s decision to convince Macbeth of killing Duncan and help causes worry and is later regretted, but eventually causes her to go mad and be continually haunted by her past. How she comes to make that decision is the start of her downfall.
Macbeth is a play written by William Shakespeare. It tells of a man named Macbeth who was noble to his king, Duncan. Who gave Macbeth a title. Macbeth and Lady Macbeth's relationship changes throughout the play, because of the conflicts and struggles they go through.
The main theme in Macbeth is too much power can lead to one’s downfall. This is shown by Macbeth’s belief in the witches’ prophecies, his plan to get rid of Banquo, and his confidence of winning the battle. Macbeth’s strong belief in the witches’ prophecies leads to his eventual downfall. After Macbeth wins the battle, he is gifted the title of Thane of Cawdor, which is one of the titles the witches’ predicted he would come to gain in his future. When he first hears the news he is in disbelief, but, he eventually comes to terms with the concept.
At the beginning of the play Macbeth and Banquo take down and defeat two invading armies. One army was from Ireland led by Macdonwald the Irishman. The other army was for Norway. After they have taken down the armies Macbeth and Banquo run into three witches by the moor. The three witches tell Macbeth that he will be crowned thane of Cawdor and king of Scotland.
Although Macbeth may be responsible for his own downfall, Lady Macbeth’s actions are to blame since her desires and attitude have influenced Macbeth in a negative way, ultimately leading him down the wrong path. Lady Macbeth’s support for the dark arts as well as her criticism of her husband’s “unmanly” and vulnerable behavior have served to draw out the ambition and avarice apparent in Macbeth. Macbeth’s ambition and desire to be king may have been large factors in corrupting his outlook, but it was Lady Macbeth who released those desires emanating from him. Macbeth even seems reluctant about holding such an ambition and hoping that the king is murdered.
In the Macbeth story I think Lady Macbeth treat Macbeth like that because he is simple minded. I think he is simple minded because he lets Lady Macbeth do what she wants when it comes downs to making decisions. In the story Lady Macbeth is the head and Macbeth is the tail. Upon being informed of the tragic demise of Lady Macbeth, Macbeth's mind is invaded by despondency and angst. The sheer drive behind the couple’s deceitful plan to rob the King of his life in hopes to secure their much-desired power was fate - a fate that had the illusion of immortality. Because of this intense reliance that Lady Macbeth and Macbeth developed, the death of the Queen pried the veil of timelessness from the mind of Macbeth and enforced a harsh and pessimistic reality. Although Shakespeare doesn’t reveal Lady Macbeth’s tragic fate, it is very clear to see how much it affected Macbeth’s view of life.
