Working Title Ferruccio had once said “ i didn't expect the Miura to perform as well as it did.” Him saying this means that he didn't think his car was one of the best even when it was and he went on to make even better cars. Ferruccio was told he wouldn't be able to make one of the best car in the 60s but he kept going ignoring what other people said. He just kept concentrating on what he was trying to do and because of that he was able to make the best car in the 60s and it was still the best until about 1974. The Lamborghini Miura was a very well known car in the 1960s everyone knew about it, it was one of the best looking cars too. The Miura has a top speed of 173 mph, and could go to 62 miles per hour in 6.7 seconds. And with the success of his mid engine layout it could go even faster than most cars could in the 1960s. Since the Miura had a mid engine layout, the car would have more traction to the road so it wouldn’t slide around too much, it would be better at breaking because of that traction. After this car became popular most of the new cars had a mid engine layout which helped them out a ton and most of the cars were improved because they were more lightweight. In addition the mid engine layout was lighter so it wasn't as heavy and it could go a bit faster. The car was also very air resistant which also made it go faster because they wasn't as much drag pushing it the other way. And because of this new air resistant car it was able to go much much faster than most other cars in the 60s, which made it able to win many many more car races. So overall it was one of the fastest cars in the 60s because of its lightweight body and its lighter mid engine
