A different leadership style can have a different impact on team cohesion. Creon, who was the ruler of the country, adopted an authoritarian leadership style in order to consolidate his power and maintain his authority. He does not listen to anyone's suggestions, and even insults those who make them, ignoring the reasonableness of those suggestions. For example, Creon treats the choir's advisors: "That's enough! Or I'll lose my patience. Don't talk like an old fool" (Sophocles, c 5th century BCE), and Creon was advised by his own son, Haemon, that "the best thing to do is to be willing to listen to wise advice" (Sophocles, c 5th century BCE).
