In today’s society, technology has transformed the way in which the global marketplace functions as a whole. Many of the barriers that once hindered people from communicating directly are no longer a factor and due to the shift in technology, it has changed the way communication has been carried out previously. The four force paradigms of globalization has made communication with technology possible. The four force paradigms impacts: business, economic, government, and social. The innovation of technology has made a tremendous effect on the enhancement of society as well as domestic and international business practices. The truth of the matter is we live in a global society where technology allows us to connect across the world many times effectively and more so “efficiently.” As we see today the continuous advancement and upward mobility in technology has played a major factor in driving global business strategies and practices. The journalist’s highlight companies such as Equinax, Liberty Mutual, and Procter and Gamble who have adopted similar technology tools that allows them to operate efficient and effective global business practices (Loten & Simons, 2017). The article first highlights changes Equinax has made and still are making. In 2015 the Equinax opened a tech office in Alabama to revamp how the company was running. Equinax is a credit score organization and technology is provides the capacity to enhance the company with its reach and assists in progressing the company. Liberty Mutual has now managed to operate using 80% private and public cloud, which impacts the way management and other companies have operated businesses due to transitioning tech system based (Loten & Simons, 2017). Managers at Liberty Mutual now use coach based methods to guide their employees. Technology has allowed employees to productive by digitalizing documents, which allows them to decrease the amount of paperwork (Loten & Simons, 2017). By doing this, it has allowed Liberty Mutual employees to focus on being innovative, working together effectively collaboratively, ultimately leading them to produce at a higher level. With technology the leadership team can delegate roles and responsibilities more intentionally as needed. The new business practices are implement with the intent to become more efficient in every way. This allows companies to produce faster while reducing the amount of mid-level leadership that are not effective, due to decrease of responsibilities needed now such as utilizing unnecessary paperwork due to the increase of digitalizing applications and other documents (Loten & Simons, 2017). It is now clear that the new technological advancements allow businesses to eliminate barriers that in the past made things unattainable.
