Everyone has moments when they realize something that they sould have always known. Some of us refer to these as “aha” moments. In the beginning of my junior year of high school, I had one of these moments. I realized that I want to be a teacher. I have always loved children, been a leader, and have had outstanding organization skills. I grew up in a home where children were always around. From the time I was born to the time I was a Sophomore in high school, my mom had a daycare in our home. She showed me how amazing children can be. Children are constantly learning and I think it's important to be part of this process. I particularly take interest in first grade. I have been an aide in the first grade classroom for almost 2 years and I see wonderful things happening daily. Things …show more content…

I believe that these roles have made me a better person and will help to make me a fantastic educator. I have become an extraordinary communicator, confident, and committed. As the president of Students Against Destructive decisions, I stay in communication with our leader to keep other members updated on meeting dates and other important information. As a cheerleader I must be confident when I cheer and dance. I have confidence in what I’m doing and that the entire team will stay together. As a member of many organizations, a student, and an employee, many people count on me. I am commitment because to me there is no other option. I may procrastinate sometimes, however you can always count on me to get the job done. I rarely to never miss any meetings for extra curricular activities. It is very unusual for me to miss an assignment, or even turn it in late. I have only missed two of my scheduled shifts in the past two years. Even in those times I called and made sure someone could cover the shifts because I was sick. I believe my level of commitment is something that will stay with me throughout college, and
