Its been fought over for many years that violent video games should not be given to minors, but teens and minors reply in a different way that of to adults and physiologists. One child psychologist claims to believe “violent video—games—which have become increasingly interactive and realistic—could lead minors to commit real-life acts of aggression, and that such games are psychologically damaging to them”(Yee 17). Brown was convicted of a horrific crime that included murder, even though the evidence that was provided was analyzed and presented wrongly.
In 2013, the Supreme Court case Moncrieffe v. Holder refuses a Board of Immigration Appeals to removal from the United States of a lawful permanent resident based on a long term criminal conviction related to sole possession of small amounts of marijuana. The case finally made it all the way to the Supreme Court, which is considered a rather technical question of the interpretation of the U.S Immigration laws. Local police departments have long been accused of profiling Hispanic, African-Americans, and other minorities of race in law enforcement activities, including run of the mill traffic stop. Critics fear that immigration enforcement by state and local authorities will lead to increase of racism. Many Americans have shown concerns with the implementation of racist discrimination of the U.S immigration laws by state police agencies and local authorities.

Dred scotts case was the most significant because after his, no other case had ruined the reputation of the court quite as bad. This case was a huge deal, and is still an important subject to teach to students today. This case was said to be the case that started the civil war, although that may be an exaggeration.
On September 13, 1983, Delbert Bakers was found dead at the school of cosmetology he owns in Auburndale, Florida. Bakers suffered three gunshot wounds and throat slashed. During the early stages of investigation, a witness claimed that Baker was seen with two men shortly before being murder. Police didn’t consider taking the tip seriously since the person was a convicted felon with prior history of drug abuse and was also a police informant. A $5000 reward was posted for any information that would lead to the suspect behind the murder of Delbert Bakers.

Tom Robinson Tom Robinson was a part of the unfair and racist Court system in the 1900s. He and many other black men were falsely accused of things such as Rape, Burglary, assualt etc…. This Case was very similar to the other Falsly cases around this time the only difference being Tom Robinson had a Lawyer who defended him well. He provided us with loads of evidence proving Tom Robinsons Innocent. No Medical reports, The eye opposite Tom Robison's dominant hand was blackened, and Mayolla and her father have mixed stories.
In a suburb outside St. Louis known as Ferguson on August 9, 2014, Michael Brown, a black unarmed teenager was shot and killed by a white police officer, Darren Wilson. Ferguson isn’t known as a violent town when it is compared to its neighboring towns. On November 24, 2014, the jury decided not to indict Officer Darren Wilson. Thus, the uprising began. There was already distrust with the majority white police department.
The topic of equality among all Americans has been debated for hundreds of years. In 1892 the landmark case of Plessy v Ferguson made the Supreme Court. A major precedent was set in this case that would be used for many years to come. This precedent would continue to be abided by for around six decades. However before all of that happened in 1890 a monumental statue was passed by the state of Louisiana.
Hero or villain Guilty or innocent? The case of John Brown gets debated and questioned often. But many people don't know what actually happened or the reasons why he is guilty. “ Old John Brown…. agreed with us thinking slavery is wrong, but that cannot excuse violence bloodshed and treason.
The reason O.J. was found not guilty of murder and acquitted in criminal court, but found guilty of the tort of harm and ordered to pay damages in the civil court lies in the structure of our legal system, in regards to criminal cases and civil cases. The distinct difference between criminal cases and civil cases provides further explanation regarding the O.J. Simpson case. Criminal cases deal with crimes against society. It is the government, not the victim, who brings action against the charged individual. In criminal cases, the penalties can include a number things including jail time.
Through the Supreme Court rulings such as in the Dred Scott case, the North and South fought numerous times over slavery. The North feared the many potential consequences of this case. The South was reluctant to give up slavery for various reasons. The Dred Scott v. Sandford case set precedent for other cases with similar conflicts. This case also provided reasons for the Civil War to occur between the North and South.
