The controlled substance Act 1970 regulated the importation, possession, distribution and manufacture in United Nations.

Some other countries like Bolivia and Peru permit the coca leaf cultivation for traditional consumption by the local indigenous population, but these countries also prohibit the production, distribution, sale and consumption of cocaine.
