The recently elected Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, is changing the laws regarding marijuana in order to make a safer Canada. If law does not prohibit fast food chains, if alcohol is made accessible to all individuals, and tobacco is accessible to the individual on their own free will, then why should there be any restrictions on the use of cannabis, which is also known as marijuana. Legalizing cannabis has always been a debatable issue by society, as some are for it and others are against it. As for the past several decades many have tried to legalize cannabis have failed and in today’s day Prime Minister Treadu brings us very close to the goal of achieving it. Through corrected regulation and enforced laws, cannabis can be used responsibly and will benefit Canadians as it will make cannabis decriminalized, reduce harm and help increase and boost the economy. Firstly, the legalization of cannabis in Canada will bring along many different benefits to the Canadian society as a whole and also the individual citizen.
