The primary prevention is the best way to eliminate the potential for exposure. Since hand washing is the most effective mean of spread of infection, it would be my primary goal to increase the compliance of hand hygiene among healthcare workers, but also an extensive education of patients and family members on hand washing before and after touching the patient as well as afar any contact with any potentially contaminated materials (surface, body fluids or respiratory secretions). Mandatory education of patients, visitors and healthcare workers, across the system as well as cross department compliance practices are single best mean of preventing the spread of infection. For example, every patient and family member can be educated about hand hygiene, use of PPE-personal protective equipment (face mask, gowns and gloves). Although, the practices are already being utilized, I believe the compliance is poorly monitored.
The results might gain more meaning if they could be strengthened more by increased actions to establish the importance of hand hygiene among care givers (Fox, et al., 2015). This condition is made extra appealing because the existence of the untoward events such as HAIs decreases the reimbursement by health care facilities based on the rules by CMS to decrease the frequency of adverse incident in care delivery. My PICOT Question For this project portfolio, the PICOT question of interest will be, if the use of hand washing, and antisepsis lower the rate of hospital acquired

The brochure’s claim is a question, “What is the simplest way to protect yourself from colds?”, that then gets answered once the brochure is opened. It starts by presenting the reader with cold, hard facts, almost scaring the reader into washing their hands. Then it continues with more statistics on illnesses caused from improper hand washing, such as Hepatitis A, SARS, and the flu, and then proceeds to teach the reader on how to successfully wash ones
When my room is in good sanitary condition, my students spread less bacteria around the room. I keep the room sanitized and healthy by making sure i wash my hands as i enter the room, and all those entering the classroom. By washing our hands upon entering, we are lessening the probabilities of bringing outside germs into the classroom. We also make sure that when our friends sneeze, they get a tissue then immediately wash their hands to keep them crispy clean. Upon entering children wash their hands and before and after each meal.
In comparison to commercial disinfectants, dog saliva as a disinfectant, is much weaker that the household detergent. The household detergent kills more of the bacteria than the dog saliva does. It can be made a generalisation that dog saliva can kill bacteria, and that dog saliva can be used as a disinfectant. Because the majority of the results in the experiment reflected that the dog saliva was effective.
Clorox has an excellent opportunity right now to bring their products to a whole other generation. Right now the average consumer for Clorox is about 35 and older because it is generally something people who clean their houses use. However with the new “Green Works” products being produced by Clorox they have the chance to get consumers younger than 35 introduced to their brand. This creates a problem for Clorox, not because getting the younger crowd into the product, but because they have not launched a new product in so many years that they need to catch up with current marketing techniques.

The main reasons for developing a HCAI are poor hand hygiene by healthcare staff, medical device related infections such as intravenous lines and urinary catheters and the overuse or improper use antimicrobials. Hand hygiene is the cornerstone measure to prevent healthcare associated infection (HCAI) and it has been shown that MRSA is primarily transmitted from patient to patient via the hands of healthcare professionals (Donskey, 2009). Although hand hygiene is the simplest, most effective and most cost effective way to prevent the spread of HCAIs (Pratt et al. 2007) (Kilpatrick et al. 2013), adherence to hand hygiene among health care professionals remains low worldwide (WHO, 2009).

Conflict of religion may be the most complex issue of them all because it can be seen as both the cause of the conflict as well as the resolution to such conflicts. In the novel, The Lemon Tree, the author, Sandy Tolan, illustrates this conflict of religion concerning two communities, the Palestinians and the Israelis. To put it in the simplest form, the Israelis believe they are entitled to the land currently known as Israel, while the Palestinians believe they are entitled to that land they call Palestine. It may seem that both sides are claiming the same land and are just calling
