Alan Turing was born June 23,1912 in Paddington, London England. He was the second and last child (after his brother John) of Julius Mathison and Ethel Sara Turing. Although conceived in British India, Alan Turing was born in a nursing home, most likely in the town of Chatrapur. People would criticize him for his sloppy handwriting. He went to Kings College, Cambridge. Later he was hired as a teacher at the University of Manchester. Later in World War 2 the government recruited Turing to break the Nazi code. Suddenly the code changed and got harder but Turing found a weakness in the code and broke it. Victory to North Atlantic. Turing was elected a fellow of the Royal Society of London in 1951.
