Juan de Solorzano y Pereyra says that the Indians practiced savage customs or they attempted to commit treason against the Spanish people. Bartolome de Las Casas says that the Indians were gentle sheep and the Spaniards rushed in like a bunch of starving wolves, tigers and lions ready to devour. The Spaniards slew the Indians as if their lives did not matter what so ever. All of this happened throughout Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jamaica and Mexico (Hispaniola). Juan Gines de Sepulveda Sepulveda said that the Indians are a savage and cruel race and that the Spanish are a superior race that is why the Indians should be treated as if they are inferior.

In this article, Felisa Rogers uses logos to show the way she got interested into loving the game of football. She ended up dating and then marrying her husband, who of which was a Green Bay Packers fan, so she was literally just forced into watching and respecting the sport. This article is more for the peoples who don’t like football so much. For most people who really aren’t interested in sports or football at all. It shows how some other people have their own perceptions on football.
This passage seemed important to me because it is describing who El Tiríndaro is. He is not a recurring character but I would consider him very important. He was the person who eventually got Enrique across the Rio Grande and to the United States. Enrique had to trust him and it also shows you have to be careful of who you trust because Lourdes was tricked earlier in the book was an immigration lawyer. It also shows that you can’t judge someone based on their appearance.

After pain, grief, sorrow, desolation, misery, depression, over her daughter’s death, mother search down deep in her soul to find a way to forgive. Some teens like to show off shoes, clothes, maybe even money but in this case Jordyn Howe just wanted to show off his step-dad gun on the bus. It could have been anybody, just sitting on the bus as an innocent bystander, but the gun just happens to be pointing at Lourdes Guzman-DeJesus unnoticeable. November 20 of 2012 is the date that Lourdes Guzman-DeJesus passed away. What makes this story rare is that the murder is actually innocent.
My response essay will come from the essay who a girl was involved called Sandra Cisneros, the daughter of a Mexico-American mother and a Mexico father. A daughter whose father didn’t believe in whatever she did. No matter how Sandra tried her best to impress her father, Sandra’s father didn’t believe her because of the tradition that lasted for years that, girls can’t do stuff that will catch an eye from the society. Anna was not allowed to play with her brothers in public, and also, not only she wasn’t allowed to go to school, but also, she wasn’t allowed to expand her talent of drawing.
Often in classical art we see images of women who are thin, pale and vulnerable. When I came across the image of Woman from Willendorf I was immediately attracted to her shapely figure. Unfortunately in art this is a shape this is labeled as glutinous and lazy. However the woman form Willendorf was commonly known as a figure that represents fertility and brings forth such luck to those who are in possession of her. She is very curvatious, having wide hips, large breasts, a round stomach and thick thighs.

Va in Portuguese is grandma in English. The noun Va holds so much more meaning than the definition to what the word is described as; the mother of one’s father or mother. When I define the noun Va, I define the word as perseverance. My Va has faced many challenges in her life. Va moved from Portugal to America in 1979, her husband had just passed away, she had an eight year old (my father) and a three year old (my uncle) to care for and she did not speak the language.
My story starts when my parents decided to move from Poland to America to raise a child. For me this was not of much significance because I thought life overseas was the same is it was here. I did not understand why they would come to a country where they had to learn another language and start their lives over. As I got older I started to think about why people come here instead of staying in their native countries, it was not until I experienced it for myself that I knew how important my education was. Over the past summer, I had gone to visit the rest of my family in Poland, and spoke to a lot of them about education.
