Summary:
The book has a before and after part, but the whole book is about a boy named Miles Halter. He is leaving his family in Florida to begin in a boarding school in Alabama.
At the boarding school He shares a room with a boy named chip, he didn’t like the name Chip so he wanted miles to call him the colonel. They got to know each other more and more. The Colonel knows almost everyone at the school so he go introduced to Alaska, Takumi and Lara. Miles first night at the school and he gets in to something. In the middle of the night he get dragged out of the school, gets covered in tape and gets thrown into the school lake. He goes to a boarding school where he meets new friends. His friends call him for Pudge. Since the first day he met Alaska, he was having feeling for her. Before boarding school he was a nice boy that never got himself in trouble but after coming to the school he changed completely, because the persons around me.
Alaska Young:
Is the girl Miles is in love with. She is a beautiful wild girl that gets her friends in to trouble by giving them alcohol and cigarettes. Thru the book her friends get to know her better as a girl with real feelings and that bring them closer.
Chip martin: he is Alaska’s best friend that gets Miles as his roommate. He has a poor background but both him and his family has a big heart. He has a nickname the Colonel that comes from his obsession with royalty.
Takumi Hikohito:
Is a really good hip hop singer friend of Alaska? He is sometimes feeling left out of the plans the friend group are making, but he is not afraid to tell that to them. Not a huge character in the book so it’s not so much to …show more content…

Opinion
My opinion:
Looking for Alaska is an amazing book. This is one of my favourite kinds of books. I really liked it because it it’s something other teenagers can relate too, not every single part of the book but some. I also really liked it because it’s so interesting in many ways and the end really shocked me. I don’t really know what I hate about the book, I think that everything in the book fitted good together. The book had some sexual things that are not really appropriate but I think it fitted well together with the rest.
The best part about the book would be
Looking for Alaska is a book that I really recommend to my friends because it really is a book for teenagers, and it’s full of things that teenagers now really can relate too.
The book was really interesting to read and I learned both some small and big things. But one thing that I really learned was if you love one person from the bottom of your heart say it to the person right away. Whatever that happens say it, because you never know what will happen to that person. This doesn’t need to be a romantic love it can also be a family member or a friend. I have been losing some people in my life that I haven’t got a chance to say I love you too. And I regret it every single
