What is Biodiversity in Canada? The dictionary defines biodiversity as “the variety of life in the world or, in a particular habitat or ecosystem”. National Geographic defines it as an “enormous variety of life on Earth”. In reality, it is as simple as that, the diversity of life in a biological world. Not just with humans, but also with animals, plants, infrastructure, and many more. In Canada, there are about 80,000 different species and 300 are exclusively found in Canada. Yet most of them are either seriously endangered or extinct. Canada is also very diverse when referring to our seasonal changes, multiple forests, rivers, and other arctic areas. It changes the lifestyle and the setting of the environment. And as this problem keeps going on, the more biodiversity is lost. In the case of biodiversity, it mainly relies on a healthy environment. The reason why there is such a great push for a right to a healthy environment. Because it not only affects the humans but affects the life around the human and this is the problem most specialists are trying to make clear to the constitution. Who/What is affected by this? As it has been iterated before, loss of biodiversity is threatening human life as well as wildlife. Many marine areas are losing population and man-made products are taking over the seas and their gas emissions are causing fatal problems for marine life. This is the same for the wildlife as well.
