I volunteered at the PI Math Assistant for my service learning assignment. This assignment helped me to know how much I enjoyed being around people and helping others as much as I can and most importantly this experience helped me a lot to see how helping others is also helping yourself at the same time. This assignment has a lot of advantages in me besides helping the trig student I was even learning myself from the student that I was tutoring for almost one month and twenty hours. The experience of helping others gives me the motivation to even do better in my other classes and I feel like I did help someone to be a better student in math. Besides tutoring the trig student I got to know him better personally and we become a good friends
I filled N-400 and had and passed the language and history interview. I received a letter indicating that I needed some more documents. Enclosed please find a copy of the letter and the interview results. I would like you to file the response for me. Unfortunately, my health is on relapse phase now and I cannot work a lot, please consider a discount for me.

Time is certainly flying by this semester, as I attended my fourth visit at the NovaCare Rehabilitation this week and next week will be the midpoint of my PTA 211 clinical affiliation. I enjoyed another busy day at my clinical site; upon my arrival I checked the caseload for the day. With evaluations and routine patients we were expecting 29. However as the day proceeded this amount was minimally reduced to 26.
I made a difference because I helped these students understand the materials they’re supposed to learn in class. This was eye opening because seeing how happy the kids understand something made me feel like a teacher. Personally, I learned kids love when adults care about them. They like it when I teach them math.
In the discussions in the documentary 13th, it talks about the controversial issue of racism. On one hand there are people that say that African Americans are not doing anything wrong and that America’s justice system is corrupt, and on the other hand there are African Americans that are in gangs, dealing crack, and killing people that if raised right and would stay in school/out of trouble would not be stuck in jail for the rest of their life. In the documentary 13th, it talks about racism from the past to the present. It starts with people from the KKK and lynching mobs from back then to now a days where they say that Black people are getting arrested and getting stuck in a corrupt justice system.
G-CM met with the client to update him on his Skid Row housing application, and remind him to take advantage of the free meals that are offered on Veterans’ Day. I-CM continued to assess client 's mental health and medication compliance. CM has observed and acknowledged to the client that he has been more active and is adjusting to his new surroundings. CM updated the client that his housing application has been completed, submitted, and is now awaiting an agency assignment through CES. CM informed the client about a small cake ceremony that is being held in honor of the Marine Corp birthday on November 10, 2015.
I was very excited to visit Our Lady of Mount Caramel in Harlem, as I had read the majority of “ The Madonna of 115th Street” written by Robert Orsi, as groundwork for my presentation. I looked forward to applying what I had learned so much about in the book, to what Harlem appeared to be in today’s time. The book created great imagery that made it obvious to compare the past and present Harlem during the time that as it we visited. After walking outside the subway station in Harlem, it was like a mini culture shock from the rest of New York.
I’m very happy I went because I struck up friendship with a few people. It’s important to connect with people especially in college, because right now we’re going to be subjected to a lot of stress and having someone to rely on helps ease the effects of it. Friends are essentially a support system, they’re people who should be motivating you to do your best and everyone needs at least one person who cares about them. Building connection can also benefit you in the long
Overall I believe that the poor grade I received in this test is due to the fact that I didn't double check my answers and read carefully even though I had plenty of time to do so. It waqs a very poor decision on my part but I learned from it and in the future I will make sure that I double check all of my answers and that I read very carefully all of the questions and think throughly my response. My first wrong answer was number 6, it asked about the what group was overlooked in criminal researched but it was indeed the fastest growing majority in prison.
The world is a beautiful place, yet it is hard to believe when one has not seen and experienced it for themselves. Having to be cooped up in one tiny corner of the world does little for one’s creativity and imagination. Which was why this past summer, I got to taste another part of the world and meet so many different people that opened my mind to so many things. I knew different places held different cultures, traditions, beliefs, languages. I knew that there were many different countries, but I never realized the size of the diversity until a few months ago.
Over the course of the last several months of my senior year, I have had the opportunity to work with the most vulnerable of the homeless population in Vancouver, Washington. Working with the harm reduction model, I have realized that the clients that are in the Housing First program are dealing with far greater issues than mental health and substance abuse. As a case manger, this only allows me to so much with the client and has shown me the importance of obtaining my MSW. By achieving this goal, I can help the client through psychotherapy and to affect change.
A billion situations come up in my mind when I hear the phrase ‘Room 101’. For example when someone chews with their mouth open or writing coursework but the three most irksome set of circumstances are starting a conversation while I’m playing PlayStation, elderly kissing me on my cheeks and forehead and lastly...the people who take ages to come out of a public bathroom. I cannot bear these three things. They have been the bane of my existence over the years. They are immensely irritating and infuriating.
When reflecting over how I have created positive professional relationships with my students throughout these last two years of teaching, has truly allowed me to see what great bonds I have been able to create in such a short time with all of my students. Living in a rural farm community, in which I grew up for most of my life, allowed me to easily form positive relations with my students because I knew most of them as children. As a younger teacher I have had to explain to students that I am a friendly person and teacher but I am not your friend. This surprised a few students but they understood my reasoning that I am their teacher and they are to respect me in that way rather than as a friend. One way that I have been able to really connect
These opportunities, skills, and friendships can aid in benefiting ones time during and after college.
