Macbeth Macbeth is a combination of villain and victim in the play, ‘The Tragedy of Macbeth’ by William Shakespeare. Macbeth is a brave, powerful nobleman that was urged by his wife, Lady Macbeth, to invite his cousin, King Duncan, to stay at his castle. When Lady Macbeth comes to know the predictions of the witches, she influences Macbeth to murder King Duncan. Macbeth eventually kills Duncan so he can be king. Macbeth’s blood lust never stops as he goes on to kill his good friend Banquo and Macduff’s family so he can remain King of Scotland. Macbeth is a villain because he kills his cousin King Duncan in his sleep, becoming an uncontrollable murderer. The reason he killed the King was because Lady Macbeth persuaded him. Another example
