Macbeth and Lady Macbeth changed throughout the play and the way they acted. At one point they are doing and thanking one thing and later on they are thanking something completely different of what that started thanking. At the beginning of the play they wanted to kill the king they were happy to and had no problems. As the play progressed on they started to fill guilty and regretted what they did they had banco killed so he would not say anything because Macbeth thought that he know too much about what happened he had murders kill banco when he was going to a banquet. As the play went on they were felling guiltier and guiltier.
The film Macbeth illustrates Lady Macbeth and Macbeth to have very different personalities than their original counterpart of the play. Lady Macbeth is portrayed as a much more grieving mother. Her characteristics change and are more revealed during the killing of the Macduff family. Throughout the film Lady Macbeth is demonstrated as a much more emotional character, with her grieving over her child's death, to the breakdown during the terrifying burning of the Macduff family. The new characteristics of the character also again give a new feel to the storyline of the character.
At the beginning, Macbeth was a respected man who was loyal to Duncan and was an amazing fighter, however after hearing about the witches prophecies he changed. In act 1 scene 1 15-25 a soldier speaks of Macbeth highly to Duncan about Macbeth saying ”For brave Macbeth—well he deserves that name”. However after Lady Macbeth questions Macbeth's masculinity and he eventually kills Duncan in Act 1 Scene 7 verses (92-95). I know this because in Act 1 Scene 2, Duncan says “Noble Macbeth hath won” and, “O valiant cousin, worthy gentleman.”
Firstly, Macbeth and his wife change dramatically over the play, because of his mysterious plans and betrayal. Over the play, Macbeth’s plans change as he never thought he would be King of Scotland, but when told he had the opportunity he followed his own dark desires. Lady Macbeth had wanted to have power, so she followed her own desires to convince Macbeth to do the deathly deed. At the beginning of the play, Lady Macbeth and Macbeth had a good life living on what the king had done for them, until the three weird sisters had convinced them otherwise. Macbeth’s marriage with Lady Macbeth had turned to a partner in crime, more than a marriage during the play.
Macbeth’s mental condition begins to dwindle as time goes on, starting with the murder of Duncan. At first, Macbeth is seen as a soldier that everyone aspires to be, strong, brave, and compassionate about his duties to the king. In act one scene two, Captain says, “...For brave Macbeth-well he deserves that name-...” This shows that he is a likeable person who has only the objective of serving his king. After meeting with the witches and hearing his prophecy, Macbeth starts to think about what it would be like to be king of Scotland.

Macbeth from Beginning to End Most characters develop a change throughout their story. The main character in Macbeth is Macbeth himself. Macbeth goes through a huge change from the beginning to the end of the play. His actions and changes were not all his doing.
He goes from being a loyal soldier to a cruel tyrant killing all of his enemies. In the beginning of the play he is presented as a loyal soldier to King Duncan and he is widely respected and admired by people. It can seem questionable as to why Macbeth is an antagonist when he has the trope of a hero. Despite that image, his inner thoughts begin to reveal themselves, showing another side to Macbeth that people don’t know about. Macbeth soon admits to his dark lust for power and status beyond his capability.
