The objective of the authors is to help their audiences who are mainly employees who face challenging situations in their respective places with ways of reacting to situations when they are under pressure. They intend to make their audience realize that everyone is basically great to be around and these only changes when they are under difficult and stressful situations now that such situations make them intolerable. Also, the authors of the book explain to the audience how they can recognize and gather fundamentals of effective communication. This was the objective of the authors to guide the audience on how to deal with people or situations that are stressful and it achieves this by giving better explanations of such satiation and giving lifetime examples and going ahead to offer possible solutions when faced with similar situations. How You Might Apply This Information In A Career Context Taking into consideration the many situations that I normally experience with my supervisors at my workplace, I can make use of the mindsets and psychology of their personality types, basing on the real work examples and scenarios that were highlighted, to be better placed to diffuse arguments, deal with exploding superiors at the work place and encourage my fellow employees who are whiners to step up. This way, I will be better placed to survive the many workplace dramas by sticking to the scripts of the two authors.
