Culture is what defines American Society. It has been heightened every generation that has passes. Today people take part in cultural landscape. Cultural landscape is what people in societies do to the land or change about land. Culture has always been adapting to societies and will continue to expand and elevate.
Differences make cultures, and show what each has to offer. In the case of food, “The ingredients, methods of preparation, preservation techniques, and types of food eaten at different meals vary among cultures”(Unknown). In my life I have noticed that each culture has a traditional meal which involves rice, bread, and meat. Not all cultures have this but most do and they all are prepared completely different and looked nothing alike. I have experienced that different countries prepare food differently, Americans fry a lot more food compared to South Americans who grill meat a healthier way.
“It’s different cultures that make the world go ‘round at the end of the day.” This famous quote was said by Samantha Fox. The United States of America’s culture differs greatly from those of other regions in the world. Some of those variations are diverse foods, populations, religions, foods, et caetera.
1) From personal knowledge, I am aware that throughout history culture has changed overtime and is still developing as we speak. Much like the fifth definition in the book, I believe that culture can be described as the tensions or adjustments between shared and unshared groups of people throughout time ( Martin,P. 89). For example, American culture has altered so much over the years, we went from a country that had laws that deliberately caused injustice and discrimination towards a selective groups of people ( slavery , Jim Crow laws, Women’s suffrage, and same- sex marriage) to a more progressive nation that is implementing acceptance that will impact the world for the better in the future to
People from all over the world came to the US for many reasons, and with them came their culture. The US is considered today as a place where, for the most part, all people and cultures are accepted. This can all be traced back to the immigrants that came to the US in the late 1800s. These people brought their customs and traditions to the US and allowed the people to really experience how other people around the world live. Foods, religions, governments, and ideals are just some of the many thing immigrants brought to the US that overall made the US a much more complex country.
In my experience, I was born and raised in American culture, but I was also embedded by the customs of my parents culture. For example, they chose an American name instead of the usual Guatemalan names like Maynor or Ines. Guatemalan culture consist of discipline, respect towards elders, close minded, catholicism, and is family oriented. In contrast, American culture is involved with open minded people, creative minds, free expression, and liberals. As one can see how differences of cultures can lead to disagreements and problems in a
With all of these cultures in one place, built the foundation for American culture. This is where we pull our music, foods, sports, and clothes from. Taking pieces from different cultures and mixing them together to create the America we have today. Music being one a very monumental part of American culture that branches out into all different genres. Jazz, pop, and hiphop have all been shaped out of the assortment of cultures and people in america.
Despite people from all parts of the world moving to America It has a distinct culture you can’t find anywhere else. It also is a major influence on the rest of the world. Because the U.S. is not surrounded by countries like in europe or Asia It is somewhat cut off from cultural influence. Many American citizens are deprived of the diverse cultural knowledge many other countries possess. The world has developed an image of America being ignorant to other cultural ideals.
My family won the green card lottery two years ago. I was really excited about it because that was my chance to succeed in life. I had not ever traveled to the United States before so I had my own imagination of Texas and Americans, and when I say Americans I mean American citizens; which was based on the stereotypes, movies and what Iranian TV shows had promoted, which you definitely do not want to know. I used to think Texas is like a desert with a bunch of racist cowboys living in it, like the western movies show.
In today’s society the American culture has been expanded and taken further than ever imagined. Today you see many American customs in countries all over the world. Many countries find this expansion and growth of the American culture to not follow the strict religious rules or beliefs and block their citizens from viewing or seeing our culture. Although there many countries who do embrace the American culture within their boundaries are more successful in technology advances, as well as they are more resourceful. Many cultures have adopted American ways, resulting in the American culture popping up all over the world.
The first thing that came to my mind when I first heard the term “American Culture” is freedom. It is openly known to the world that United States of America is arguably one of the world’s most democratic countries. Even as early as in their Declaration of Independence, America has written the fundamentals of freedom in its laws and constitution that all men are created equal. Not unexpectedly, this freedom of being, over time, has given birth to a very strong freedom of expression and support of Human Rights in America. People in America are more tolerant toward individual differences compared to other societies.

Comparatively, in some culture would view human nature more pessimistically. In this case, they tend to be control people strictly and monitor closely to avoid negative impulses. Taking care of oneself is also an important value of American. In American culture, parents will not interfere children’s decision of choosing their own major and it is common that a young woman move out, a young man gets a job and does not give money to their family.

Cooking, feasting, hiding Easter eggs, and playing games are all a part of the spring festivities that many families find themselves celebrating the holiday. When comparing America’s Easter background to England’s, you can find many similarities: the Easter Bunny, chocolate eggs, and home-cooked dinners.
As an anthropologist, I study the traditions, art, language and customs of past and present societies in order to learn how human beings have developed over time. However, the most important part of my job is to solve a variety of mysteries about humankind, such as the origin of civilizations, how customs were formed or the difference between cultures. About a year ago, I decided to travel over galaxies and over time in order to observe the values and beliefs of "primitive" American culture, to understand their social, political and even personal behavior nowadays. As a result, I observed that not only are there differences in behavior, beliefs and customs, but also in the ways people perceive and manage their worlds. Therefore, to understand
Traditions are a main factor of any culture or country, and traditions make a country unique and differ from others. Like any other country, the USA has traditions that are very valued by them. American traditions consist of beliefs, greeting visitors, and their behavior towards people. Some of the American
