Social Integration and Communication How common is to think that people can learn and develop a way of communication throughout social integration. Most people, nowadays, go through life thinking only about their individual beliefs. Consequently, they restrain themselves to be open and develop a way to communicate in different circumstances of life. On the readings “Making Friends in New Places (Christakis, 2015),” and “Building Attention Span (Brooks, 2015)” mention situations of how people socialize between one another on different circumstances. On the other hand, the article “How Walking in Nature Changes the Brain (Reynolds, 2015),” mentions how a change of environment can make an effect on how people perceive things. On “Making Friends in New Places,” we see how people most of the time have a tendency to act differently when they see themselves in a new environment. They have a habit of forgetting their imaginary boundaries which make them be less socialize; consequently, they become more approachable to a social integration and to feel more comfortable communicating their ideas. Brooks says, “Online life… is socializing with almost no friction.” This indicates that most people who interact through social media feel more secured and in control of the circumstance because they do not experience the actual interaction as when it is on a conversation face to face. As we know, when you have a discussion in person; you can see the expression and attitude of the other person while online not. On the other hand, offline learning gives you the opportunity to stop and think about the situation and the circumstance that you could experience.
