Malala Yousafzai:A Hero to Follow What determines a hero? Is it their bravery, humility, patience or kindness. Is it that person who puts others needs before theirs to help others. A fifteen year old girl named Malala Yousafzai proved to the world that everyone has a voice and should stand up for what they believe in. Malala Yousafzai is known for human rights advocacy for education and for helping women in her Swat Valley to be able to attend school. Her amazing bravery and contributions have made her the youngest ever to win the Nobel Prize Laureate. According to the Fund there goal is to allow girls to complete 12 years of safe quality education so that they can achieve their potential and be positive change makers in their families and communities. They work with partners all over the world helping empower girls and give them voice, investing in local education leaders and programmes and advice more resources for education and safe schools for every child. Countries that the fund has helped a lot is Pakistan, Nigeria, Lebanon, Jordan and in Kenya. In Pakistan the fund works with education orgainizations to englarge their size to enroll more girls in secondary school, including some of the country’s most distant regions.In Nigeria, the fund has helped create community promoted safe spaces clubs to help fortify young girls academic and life skills. They also give the girls access to advisor programs and support a girls decisions to setback marriage. In Kenya, the fund helps teach girls how to usefully use technology and life skills for girls in Nairobi’s slums. In Lebanon and Jordan, the fund finances in schools for Syrian exile girls, who are at risk for early marriage. Even during the Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone, the fund supported a radio based learning initiative during and after school closures. The Malala fund sure does help and support girls all around the world achieve their dreams and receive an education.
