Marijuana, sticky icky icky, mary jane all mean the same from many different areas of the world. Legalization of “the sticky icky icky” has been a request of Americans since 1969, and there are multiple reasons of why it should be. For one the “drug” has benefits for not only the population but also the government. Marijuana has better effects to the body than alcohol, which is legal, because it doesn’t harm any of the major organs. For medicinal uses, marijuana’s main chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) thickens bloodstream and increases blood flow. As for the government, Colorado on its first year of legalization made millions off of taxes improving businesses and decreasing poverty rates. The safety of marijuana is better than the safety of alcohol and cigarettes, which are both legal with an age requirement. Alcohol effects parts of the body terribly, like the liver and kidneys, in which are major to the bodily functions. While marijuana is rarely affecting the lungs and nowhere as addictive as alcohol. Cigarettes destroy the lungs with a mix of over 3000 chemicals and building up tar in the lungs causing pneumonia to be a reoccurring problem. With colorado being one of the first states to legalize marijuana, the taxes their government pulled in has been well into the millions in the past couple of years. The legalization can help the government with more than just pulling in taxes, but also create more businesses with more jobs creating an even lower poverty rate and being able to clean up cities. If Indiana legalizes marijuana they will be able to fix all the potholes that were ever made in just about a year or two. The taxes that can be made on this “drug” can benefit any government, This will mean a lower rate of people being imprisoned on drug charges because of having marijuana on
