He originally said no to helping out with the event, but after Stanley Goldstein, director of operations, told him the reason for the event and the goal they were trying to reach, Pomeroy agreed to help out because he believed in what they were trying to accomplish (Makower, 1989, p. 60). Pomeroy was a highway patrolman, World War II veteran, and a chief deputy in California for years. Sean O’Connell, from the film ‘The Secret Life of Walter Mitty’, was not merely a haughty photographer. Sean unmistakably showed that he understood the effort and care that Walter put into his work. INTRODUCTION Did you know that Borlaug was very famous and very busy farming and helping people out? Borlaug has been around other countries helping people farmers grow efficient crops and travel. He has raised and spent his childhood over at his grandpa’s barn. He was the father of the “Green Revolution,” and farming. He had a family in his adulthood and tons of awards he has won for helping out the USA and the world.
In the song “Winter Wonderland” Richard B. Smith, the lyricist created the theme that is to not take things for granted, instead go out and enjoy it by using the poetic devices of imagery, personification, and rhyme. Throughout the entire song thoughts of snow and sleigh rides went through my mind, as well as many other people’s. I believe that Smith did a magnificent job of having the lyrics fulfil the title Winter Wonderland. I chose this song for a couple of reasons actually, the first is that I extremely miss the snow and the coldness, basically the “normal” characteristics for winter in the North East where I mainly lived.
