One of an impactful, historical tragedy in U.S history is the Boston Bombing. On April 15, 2013, at about 2:50 p.m., two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon. The bombs explode within 8-12 seconds of each other, and they were about 50-100 yards apart. 3 people got killed and more than 260 people got injured. The window of the store near the explosion were broken and a window on the third floor of the Boston Public Library was damaged.

On December 14th, 2012, the lives of thousands, and indirectly millions changed after the shooting of twenty children and six teachers were fatally shot by the infamous Sandy Hook Elementary school shooter, Adam Lanza. This event was so dramatic and sickening the world stopped in it’s tracks waiting for what was going to happen next. In the aftermath of the tragedy, the cauldron was stirred and the underlying question resurfaced; What should we do about gun control laws? Should the people of America even have guns? After a number of shootings occurring and Sandy Hook occurring, Barrack Obama addressed the event and spoke about “reducing gun violence” and promoting “gun safety” drawing many citizens to support his cause.
A note containing a series of numbers was found in the hotel room where the Las Vegas massacre was fired, investigators believe that those numbers helped the gunman to make his shots more precise. These numbers included the distance between the height of the room and the concert. It still has not been possible to determine what caused Paddock to carry out the shooting. Vice President Mike Pence showed up at a prayer service in Las Vegas on Saturday to remind victims of the attack. He said that the memory of the victims of the massacre would be engraved in the hearts of the Americans.
Hall-Mills Murder The Hall-Mills murder the unsolved murder of Reverend Edward W. Hall and choir singer Eleanor Mills. Guess God did not want these two souls on this Earth anymore. The couple was found dead by a local apple orchard in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The murderer has not yet been identified and may never be identified. The mystery behind the Hall-Mills murder can be summed up in two theories, the first one being that Mr. Hall’s wife, Frances Hall, killed the couple alone.
April 16, 2007, started as a normal day. Virginia Tech students rushed to their classrooms to avoid being late, but little did they know the tragedy that was going to take place that dreadful day. Shortly after 10:00am 32 students lives had been taken by one of their fellow classmates. After the shooter ruthlessly shot and killed each one, he took his own life. April 16 will forever be recognized as a day of mourning and remembrance, but also as a day where we come together as a nation and overcome the defying odds we were left with.

One of the most horrible events of the Japanese occupation of China was the Nanking Massacre. The Nanking Massacre also known as The Rape of Nanking, occurred over six weeks starting December 13, 1937. During this period, soldiers of the Imperial Japanese Army murdered many Chinese civilians and disarmed combatants. An estimated of 50,000-300,000 were killed, and over 20,000 women were gang-raped in front of their families, these women were often killed immediately after being raped. The Japanese also forced families to commit incestous acts.

Mental illness significantly affects many around the world. In fact, about four-hundred and fifty million people worldwide suffer from one or more of the different known mental illnesses. That is one in every four people. Severe mental health issues such as severe anxiety disorder, antisocial personality disorder, schizophrenia, or sensory perception disorder are illnesses which are common among the people responsible for the numerous mass shootings in America. Many believe the possession of firearms in the hands of the mentally ill are the real cause of mass shootings.
We shouldn’t be afraid of the zombie apocalypse. Zombies first appeared on TV a long time ago, but they became a trend few years ago when „The Walking Dead” first aired. The movies through more than 80 years have been showing us how to, and how to not deal with the zombie problem. I believe medicine nowadays is developed to a point that scientist would be able to anticipate and prevent the spread of the zombie virus. Also I presume that militiary could deal with the zombie outbreak pretty well, and the outbreak would be cointained in a matter of days at most, and if they failed people across the world have been preparing for the zombie apocalypse since the first season of „
As a society we are not surprised when we see the headlines of news articles with the words serial killer or mass murderer, we have grown a sense of normalcy to these words that one would think would actually be quiet freighting or at least should be. Society however has not been prepared to understand or know how to react when the killer is a child. What should be looked for, what is a red flag, is something different from this child than that one. What makes a child a murderer?
