Stemming from my own childhood, I have had this idea that when I grew up I would pursue a career that allows me to work with children. As I’ve grown older and taken classes at my high school, online, at UCLA, have been exposed to scientific papers, and spoken with my mentors, I have realized that I would also like to work with either neuroscience or oncology. I personally recognize the Education Shadowing Program as a great area of both professional and personal development. Being a part of the Education Shadowing Program would give me more exposure into the field of pediatrics that I am passionate about. I view the program as an opportunity to learn from and foster relationships with astute mentors that provide the utmost care, understanding,

While on faculty at Florida A&M University I trained approximately fifty graduate students who in turn instructed approximately three hundred seventy-five freshmen in the art of developing mind power by using advanced memory systems and techniques. However, superior speed-reading and comprehension skills buttressed memory training, therefore speed-reading and comprehension training preceded memory training.
I choose to be a Preprofessional Studies major because my passion lies in the medical field. My professional goal is to become a pediatric doctor and possibly working in research for children 's illnesses, such as diabetes. I first gained an interest in the medical field during my senior year of high school. My prior foundation in the sciences was weak and its appeal to me was low, but my anatomy and physiology class changed my attitude. I had a curiosity to the inner workings of the body and this class explored that in addition to research on anatomy and illnesses.
I will be graduating with a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University in December 2017, and I then wish to pursue an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University. Therefore, I will be able to reach my full academic potential in the Texas A&M University, which will enable me to become a highly qualified electrical engineer. I would also like to express my desire to complete a PhD program upon completion of my master’s degree, since I would like to begin my career with the highest possible credentials in my field of expertise. Box 1 – The College of Liberal Arts at Temple has been a great conduit for providing opportunities for my intellectual and professional development. First and foremost, I feel extremely privileged to be part of Temple’s CLA Honors Program due the outstanding faculty, both teaching and administrative. I again feel lucky to have been exposed to several fantastic clubs and organizations, such as the Temple Economics and Political Science societies, that pertain to my fields of study. I’ve also been afforded possibilities to attend lectures given by prominent academics and scholars, in particular the talks given by Professor Joseph Schwartz on political theory. For sometime I’ve wanted to become a teacher and while expressing this desire my parents, friends, and even some teachers were skeptical or advised against me becoming a teacher. While some of their reasons may be true, I want to change the perception of teachers and the profession starting with the way I will teach my students, the future of this country. A liberal arts education will give me a chance to teach my students not only the subject they are learning but also about the world around them. With the way I teach my students I hope their parents begin to see teachers in a different way as well. The first part of people’s lives is spent with teachers that shape and lead children to become the leaders of tomorrow’s world.

Personal Statement I come from a large family with relatives from a little ranch in Chihuahua, Mexico. Many of which have never made it past grade school. Mainly due to their mother, my grandma, she had fallen very ill. Due to her condition and lack of money my aunts and uncles dropped out of school to work and help pay for her medication and medical expenses. The older siblings had to take care of the younger siblings.
How important are the characters other than Antigone and Creon in Sophocles' Antigone? Characters other than Antigone and Creon could be considered as minor due to their limited time on stage, throughout the play. However, their significance cannot be underestimated. Throughout Sophocles’ Antigone, written in 441 B.C. set in Thebes, characters other than Antigone and Creon hold a vital role as they help to emphasise Antigone’s
Personal Statement for NQT Year I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some truly inspirational teachers and am aware of the effect they have had on my life and the choices I have made subsequently. My own passion for working with young children extends from my desire to emulate these role models and perform the same inspirational function in the lives of my students. I have always enjoyed being around young people and have supplemented my interests in primary teaching with as much work experience as possible. I completed my PGCE Education course and qualified in 2006.
Going forward a liberal arts education will be key for me to attain my goals. Specifically a Hollins liberal arts education. I am interested in pursuing pre-law, creative writing, art, and equine studies. At a typical technical based studies program I would be unable to study and learn what I 'm passionate about. It has been said that if you choose a job you love you will never have to work another day, and I fully intend to live my life with zeal doing what I love and am truly passionate about, and a liberal arts education will help me achieve that.
