Clarissa Eaton Mrs. Bailey Language Arts 05 April 2023 Anne Frank Maturity In “The Diary of Anne Frank” by Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett, Anne is a young teenage girl who shows significant maturity in Act One. In Act One Anne is faced with the very hard situation of being put into a secret hiding place due to her religion. As the Act progresses, she starts to understand her situation and comes to terms with what is happening around her. Overall, Anne Frank’s maturity has become evident by the end of Act One. At the beginning of Act One of “The Diary of Anne Frank”. Anne Frank is a childlike and naive teenage girl who was put into a secret hiding place due to her religion. Throughout the Act, Anne continuously did things like hide Mr. Van Daans pipe, Put on her friend Peter's clothes and tease others in the hideout.
