First, the mayans have many cultural differences. To start, the mayans built a lot of their buildings to symbolize power. For example, the mayans built a giant 2 story temple in Tikal (one of the strongest mayan cities there was) that looked over the whole city to show mayans should go there because they were strong. Also, the mayans did human sacrifice for their gods. The mayans believed that if they stopped sacrificing, the sun would no longer come up so they couldn't grow crops anymore.

They simply disarm law-abiding citizens, while people bent on violence find firearms readily available.” Even with gun laws people would still find ways to get guns, but they would start to get them illegally through the black market. John Stossel, Author of “gun control isn't crime control” says “It seems counterintuitive but makes sense if we consider one simple fact: Criminals don't obey the law.
Throughout life, the choices that are made ultimately lead to the punishments and consequences that arise with those choices. In The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini, there were numerous respectable, thoughtful and wise decisions made, however, with this in mind, the novel also presented some undesirable and immoral choices. Choices made without consideration of the effect they will have on others can at times define your true intentions and loyalty as a person. Being brave enough to admit fault and staying true to one’s self and your beliefs and morals is key feeling peace of mind.
