The agenda for a mediation session between the townspeople and the Global corporation would be to explain why we are there, have Global say their pitch, have the townspeople express their opinions, allow them time to review what was said, and come back to hopefully make an agreement. To begin, I would let everyone there know that I am there to not render judgment so that they can work out their differences and construct a solution (Hocker & Wilmot, 2014, p. 286). As well, I will let them know that I am there to mediate their conflict because there is a history of Global being deceitful to them in the past. I will clarify that everyone must be honest and have an open mind in order for everyone to have a fair shot at expressing their stance so that a mutual agreement can be made.

For that reason, the Global company and the townspeople must be patient, unbiased, and fair in order to allow negotiation to take place.
