In the article "Medicalizing Racism" by James Thomas, many psychologists believe that an act of racism is the cause of mental illness. According to "The Authoritarian Personality" by Theodor Adorno, racism started when individual beliefs in the "nuclear ideas" like Jews are conniving, blacks are lazy or homosexuals are perverse. The individual with the "nuclear ideas" often has opinions and attitudes toward others with a different race. Racism is also creating "sick society" because both the offenders and victims are mentally affected. It is important to seek the best healthcare for a child that in critical condition, however, not many parents are able to get the high-quality care for their children. One of the factors that parents failed to seek the best care for their child is money. The poor family often settle with local hospital or clinic for their children healthcare. Since they can't afford to get their kid into higher quality care hospital, they have no choice but to leave their kid's health to the local doctor or medical staffs. Second, parents with lack of knowledge about medical often don't how to choose the best hospital that can specialize in their child's illness. These parents, often doubting themselves about the decision that they made for their child's health. These parents often failed to stay positive about their child condition and their emotion sometimes make matter worse. Many parents become afraid and hurt to see their child suffering every day. Eventually, they lost hope and stop showing the support that their child needed. On the other hand, parents with medical background often have a suggestion of what type of treatment their child should get. Individuals that are committing acts of racism often high-profile figure that has the money to seek therapy to treat their unstable behaviors. On the other hand, women in middle and lower class often get their women's right taken away from them when they are being forced into doing C-section. The article "Forced and Coerced Cesarean Sections in the United States" explains how many women are giving birth through C-section against their will. They are being threatened with many legal actions against them while they are hurt and unable to seek for a legal representative. This article shows the healthcare system will use all kind of tactics for their own convenience, even if it means against a person's will. The article "Getting the most out of the U.S healthcare system" explained that the best way to get the most out of the healthcare system is to be knowledgeable. The article shows the difference in treatments that two children receive from hospitals. The child with parents who have knowledge about health care gets best possible treatments, while the other child's health is purely depending on the doctors and the hospital staffs because the parents are clueless about their kid's conditions.
